What are kids units?

The lesson plans are presented in units; each unit is made of three lesson plans which are 30-40 minutes in length, making them ideal for your online ESL classes! Our ESL lesson plans for kids are presented as units to ensure that ESL students are exposed to the same topic, vocabulary and grammar in three consecutive classes to solidify learning and comprehension, giving structure and flow to the ESL kids English curriculum.

How are the units structured?

As mentioned the kids units from ESL Pals, are made up of three ESL lesson plans, these units are then presented as a curriculum. Our ESL lesson plans for kids are purposely structured to ensure that each student progresses their level from one lesson to the next, completing a class provides the necessary scaffolding to progress to the next lesson or unit. All members of ESL Pals gain full access to a step by step curriculum for each level set out on the website.

Are the topics child-friendly?

Yes, all of the topics covered in our ESL lesson plans for kids are child-friendly. The topics covered for ESL kids level 1 are intentionally chosen so that each child is exposed to essential vocabulary at the earliest possible stage. Topics include; weather, colors, time and numbers, family, pets and more!

Are the lesson plans downloadable?

Yes, every ESL lesson plan for kids from ESL Pals is downloadable in PDF format, making them easy to print for your classroom lessons, or easy to use while sharing your screen in online classes. Once downloaded, you can save the lesson plans so that you can use the classes over and over again!
