Unit Overview
Level 1 is ideal for young learners who have a basic understanding of English and are ready to build on their foundation. Equivalent to the A0-A1 level, students will expand their vocabulary and start forming simple sentences!
In Level 1, lessons focus on introducing new words and phrases. Through engaging activities and games, students will practice using English in various contexts.
Each unit in Level 1 includes three lesson plans, with a minimum length of 45 minutes per lesson. These plans are crafted to reinforce learning through repetition and visual aids, ensuring that students grasp and retain new information.
Lesson 1
This ESL Kids winter Lesson 1 starts with a warm-up in which kids have to talk about winter snacks. Then, they learn new words and practice saying them with their teachers. Next, ESL kids practice more with a fun exercise about learning words related to the topic. The lesson moves on to speaking exercises and then proceeds to several fun educational games.

Lesson 2
This ESL Kids winter Lesson 2 starts with a warm-up reviewing the previous lesson’s vocabulary! Later, they learn new words and focus on identifying pictures and matching them to the correct vocabulary. They complete multiple fun exercises throughout the lesson and at the end, they will be able to identify new words. The lesson ends with more games to recap what the students have learned.

Lesson 3
This ESL Kids winter lesson 3 brings all the elements of this unit together. ESL students need to review all the new vocabulary with engaging activities. Then, they have to complete multiple writing and speaking activities to review the topic. As usual, the lesson ends with fun games for the kids to recap and practise even more!
