Lesson Overview
In this awesome ESL lesson plan, students get to discover their love language! This video based lesson gives students the opportunity to talk about what is important to them in a relationship. And, they even explore wish structures to make some wishes!
This topic has grown in popularity ever since Gary Chapman published his famous book with the same name. We are confident that your intermediate students will absolutely fall in love with this lesson. Students start by watching the informative video titled “What is Your Love Language?” by Psych2Go. Then, they explore the video vocabulary by completing and discussing a summary about love languages.
The focus shifts to listening with exercise then students move on to wish structures to ensure that they can use them with ease. This lesson gives students many opportunities to speak, practice listening and work on their writing.

Homework
As usual, students get the opportunity to practice more outside of the class. This time, they write sentences using wish structures and correct common mistakes with this grammar point. Then, they have to write a paragraph about their love language using the vocabulary from the lesson.
