Lesson Overview
This ESL lesson plan on driving starts off with a fun vocabulary task where students are asked to annotate a car, then they are given a series of related discussion questions. Next, there is a vocabulary picture exercise where students have to identify car parts before using the word in a sentence, and answering questions.
Afterwards, there is a driving dialogue questions task where students have to complete the sentences by using the words in the box. The exercise also contains a synonyms task and questions.
Following that, students are challenged to complete a reading task which contains a fun article which is accompanied by true or false questions and discussion questions. Then, the lesson moves on to a grammar task. The grammar point featured in this task is “have to”. There is a grammar explanation before a sentence completion exercise and questions. The lesson finishes with a series of discussion questions.
