Lesson Overview

This FREE A1 Valentine’s Day ESL lesson plan is perfect for your beginner ESL students. It provides all the necessary language and scaffolding to ensure students are able to participate fully and enjoy it. 

The class begins with a fun warm-up exercise. Next, they are introduced to new words related to the topic, which they are then challenged to use in the next exercise. 

Multiple new words are studied in-detail, before learners are given a series of tasks related to the topic. Afterwards, there is a reading exercise in which students read about Valentine’s Day celebrations in different countries.
