Lesson Overview
This intermediate ESL lesson plan on beauty tackles a very interesting topic: Beauty. Is it important or not? Intermediate ESL students get to explore this question through an interesting video and article. There are plenty of speaking opportunities for students in this lesson!
Students start with a vocabulary exercise”. Next, the video is analysed and discussed using specific vocabulary words. Then, students learn more about phrasal verbs related to beauty and complete an exercise to practice their newly acquired language.
Students are presented with an interesting article that talks about the “beauty premium” and how looks help us to get ahead in life. Finally, there are a series of thought-provoking speaking exercises related to beauty. This is a great lesson to use with B1 Intermediate ESL students who are motivated to learn - as the article is of a slightly higher level.

Homework
