Lesson Overview

This C1 conversation class on Networking is designed to help students speak confidently in professional situations while improving fluency and natural English use. The class is super engaging and practical, allowing learners to practise real-life networking rather than just theory.

In this lesson on networking, students will explore topics such as making strong first impressions, starting conversations with new contacts, building meaningful professional relationships, and following up effectively. They will work with case studies, real-life situations, and discussion prompts to practise skills in context and reflect on their own networking approach.

The lesson is carefully structured to support students while encouraging independent discussion and problem-solving, helping them develop both language ability and practical professional skills.

Homework:

As always, with the ESL lesson plans from ESL Pals, there is a detailed homework task so students can continue learning in their free time. Here, the students are given an article analysis task in which they can practise; writing, reading and expanding their vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
