Lesson Overview
This ESL lesson plan explores the topic of ‘travel’. In this video based lesson, students will discuss the topic through many fun, engaging activities. The subject is deep and interesting so it will encourage participants to talk and learn.
Teachers who love to travel and explore new places, will have great fun teaching this class as it enables people to share their travel experiences and to think deeply about why they travel.
The question of “why?” stimulates an interesting conversation which forces students to use good vocabulary and grammatical structures. We recommend delivering this class to advanced learners who have traveled extensively or have a desire to do so. However, it is also beneficial to use this class with students who have not traveled often as it allows them to voice their opinion.
The array of awesome activities presented in this class ensure that there is something for everyone including; vocabulary, reading, discussion and listening exercises. You and your students will love exercise 6 as it encourages students to openly discuss their travel desires using new words.
