Lesson Overview
In this thought-provoking ESL lesson plan, students will study the topic of generations. Learners will be introduced to this subject by watching an intriguing video, then they will be challenged by various fun, engaging exercises.
The ESL class starts with a relevant, fun vocabulary exercise before moving onto an awesome reading task. During this reading activity, students will be able to specifically learn about the details of each generation before applying this knowledge to a series of questions.
There is also an excellent discussion task which focuses on the themes presented in the video. Our favourite task is “Generations: Case Studies” as this activity encourages students to produce the new language naturally by reading different profiles.
This ESL lesson plan on generations culminates with two speaking activities; a picture round and debate, both of which your ESL students will love. We recommended delivering this class to learners that are interested in understanding human behaviour.
