Lesson Overview

This ESL cooking lesson plan starts with a warm up where students have to name and describe a starter, main and dessert. Then, they learn cooking utensil vocabulary with a mind map. Next, beginner students have to identify cooking verbs and put them into the present participle form. Later, students will focus on grammar and complete present continuous exercises.

This ESL cooking lesson plan continues with a reading and comprehension exercise where students have to read recipes. Thereafter, students complete a speaking activity with the present continuous tense. The lesson ends with two debate / discussion exercises where beginner students can practice their free talk.
