Lesson Overview
This B1 ESL lesson explores the topic “Are morning routines important?”, encouraging students to think about daily habits and how they affect energy, productivity, and mood. Learners discuss their own morning routines and compare different ways people start their day.
Students learn useful vocabulary and expressions related to daily routines, such as “get ready,” “hit the snooze button,” “make the bed.” They also practise giving opinions and reasons using structures like “I think… because…” and “In my opinion…”.
The lesson includes speaking activities, short reading or listening input, and guided discussion tasks. Students are encouraged to share whether they follow a routine or prefer a more flexible start to the day, and whether they believe routines actually make life better.
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe their morning routines, give simple opinions with reasons, and take part in a short discussion about habits and daily life.
