Intermediate ESL students get to explore this topic through an interesting video and article. There are plenty of speaking opportunities for students in this Intermediate ESL Pandemic lesson and a lot of focus is placed on learning new vocabulary!
The lesson begins with students learning new vocabulary and using the new words in a speaking exercise. Next, the video is analysed and discussed using specific vocabulary words. Then, students learn how to use the past continuous tense to talk about habits in the past.
Later, they get to read a very interesting article that talks about the positives that came from the pandemic. Finally, they learn more vocabulary through the use of synonyms. This is a great lesson to use with B1 Intermediate ESL students who are motivated to learn - as they have to express their opinions throughout the lesson.

Homework
