The lesson includes a listening activity where a speaker explains why college may not be the right choice for everyone, followed by comprehension tasks and vocabulary work related to college life, careers, and education choices. Students also analyse case studies of teenagers with different goals and discuss whether college is a good option for each person.
Through guided speaking tasks, debate statements, and discussion questions, students build confidence talking about education, work, and future plans. The lesson encourages critical thinking and helps learners connect the topic to their own experiences.
