Lesson Overview

In this ESL lesson on International Women's Day, students explore the significance of gender equality, celebrate women's achievements worldwide, and engage in discussions, activities, and reflections fostering awareness and empowerment.

The class begins with a fun warm-up exercise where they have to identify famous women. Next, they are introduced to new words related to the topic, which they are then challenged to use in the next exercise. 

There is an awesome video-based activity which enables students to practise their comprehension skills through true or false, sentence completion and discussion exercises. 

Afterwards, there is an excellent task which encourages students to talk about important women in their lives, after being introduced to key adjectives.  

The lesson finishes with three fun speaking games which are designed to help student progression while ensuring they are fully engaged and loving learning,

Homework
