Lesson Overview

In this A1 beginner ESL lesson plan on St. Patrick's Day, students will explore Irish culture, traditions, and the history of the holiday through engaging activities, discussions, and language practice.

The class begins with a fun warm-up exercise where they have to identify the opposite meaning of words, which they have to use in context. Next, they are introduced to new words related to the topic, which they are then challenged to use in the next exercise. 

There is an awesome video-based activity which enables students to practise their comprehension skills through true or false, sentence completion and discussion exercises. 

Afterwards, there is an excellent reading which challenges students to learn more about St. Patrick’s Day, The lesson finishes with a fun speaking game which are designed to help student progression while ensuring they are fully engaged and loving learning,

Homework
