Lesson Overview
The topic of family is essential and easy to grasp for beginner students which makes it the perfect topic to teach early on in the curriculum. This ESL lesson plan on family also presents a great opportunity for students to learn important language that will be relevant to their lives.
We recommend delivering this ESL lesson plan on family to A1-A2 level learners.. The engaging activities will provide them with the necessary language to talk about their family, and will give them functional language that they will need in also all introductory conversations and small talk in the future.
Our favorite exercise is the speaking activity (6). We love this exercise because it forces ESL students to be absorbed in the language through learning new words, then expressing themselves by answering questions.
