This spooky Halloween ESL lesson will definitely get your students talking. The lesson focuses on listening and speaking. Give your students the opportunity to expand their vocabulary with adjectives and teach them about linking words in this fun worksheet.
This Halloween ESL lesson plan on scary stories starts off with three very eerie ghost stories. Students need to complete different listening exercises related to these stories. Then, they move on to adjectives such as: spooky, creepy, eerie etc. and retell one of the stories while using these.
Later, students learn about linking words and need to complete a short story with the correct linking word to practice. Finally, students need to retell a ghost story with the appropriate linking words and adjectives to improve their story telling abilities. There are also plenty of opportunities for students to speak with discussion questions. Disclaimer: Don’t do this lesson alone at night like I did - might give you some nightmares!

Homework
