Lesson Overview

This ESL gym lesson starts off with a fun trivia task. Next, there is a vocabulary picture exercise where students have to identify gym equipment before using the word in a sentence. Afterwards, there is a gym collocations task where students have to create the collocation before using it in a sentence. 

Following that, there is an article about the benefits of exercising in the gym. This article is interesting and facilitates a great discussion after reading. There is also a useful synonym task. 

Next, the grammar point of ‘go, play do’ is covered in great detail. This ESL gym lesson then challenges students to complete a dialogue, allowing students to see how the language is used in a real way.
