Lesson Overview
This A2 ESL lesson plan focuses on the topic of life stages and life experiences, helping learners talk about their past, present, and future in a simple and engaging way. Through a variety of structured speaking activities, students explore key moments in life, from childhood to old age, and discuss personal goals and experiences.
The lesson includes engaging tasks such as ranking life experiences, giving and evaluating advice, making predictions about the future, and discussing “would you rather” questions. Students are encouraged to use basic past, present, and future forms (e.g. was, am, will) while building confidence in expressing opinions and sharing personal stories.
With a strong focus on communication, this conversation-based class provides plenty of opportunities for pair work, group discussion, and meaningful interaction. It is ideal for learners at A2 level who want to improve fluency, expand vocabulary related to life stages, and develop their ability to speak about real-life topics.
