Lesson Overview
In this ESL lesson plan on Earth Day, students will explore the significance of environmental conservation through engaging activities and discussions. From learning about recycling to understanding the importance of biodiversity, this lesson aims to empower students with the knowledge and vocabulary necessary to become environmentally responsible global citizens.
The class begins with a fun warm-up exercise where they have to identify planets in the solar system. Next, they are introduced to new words related to the topic, which they are then challenged to use in the next exercise.
There is an awesome video-based activity which enables students to practise their comprehension skills through true or false, sentence completion and discussion exercises.
Afterwards, there is an excellent task which encourages students to talk about common things that pollute the environment, and small actions they can do every day to help the planet.
The lesson finishes with three fun speaking games which are designed to help student progression while ensuring they are fully engaged and loving learning,

Homework
