Lesson Overview
This awesome ESL asking for directions lesson plan starts with a fun warm up game and discussion. Then, students move on to vocabulary and learn about the different places in a city / town for example church, supermarket, bus stop, theatre etc. Later, students learn about direction by completing an informative image.
Next, students learn some common phrases and questions when asking for and giving directions. This is followed by a dialogue and questions where students can see these expressions in a conversation. Thereafter, students need to start using their newly acquired language to give and follow directions with a city map. There is also an excellent listening activity.
