Lesson Overview
The topic of ‘travel’ is broad and most people have an interest in it, so it presents a great opportunity for students to learn important language that will be relevant to their lives.
We recommend delivering this ESL lesson plan on travel to A1-A2 level learners, and to any students that have an interest or desire to travel. The engaging activities will provide them with the necessary language to talk about their experiences, and will give them functional language that they will need when travelling in an English speaking country.
Our favourite exercise is “why do people travel” - we love this exercise because it forces ESL students to be absorbed in the language through a reading task, learn new words, then express themselves by answering questions.
